Skin Me Up: Service
Microneedling
Give Your Skin A Healthy Glow

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves the use of a device called derma pen. The device contains fine needles that are used to create tiny punctures in the top layer of the skin, known as the epidermis. The purpose of these punctures is to stimulate the body's natural healing response and promote the production of collagen and elastin, which are two important proteins that contribute to healthy, youthful-looking skin.

Microneedling is commonly used to treat a variety of skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, uneven skin texture, and hyperpigmentation. It can be performed on various areas of the body, including the face, neck, chest, and hands. The results of microneedling can be gradual and may take several treatments to achieve the desired outcome.

After the procedure, the skin may appear slightly red or swollen, and there may be some mild discomfort or sensitivity. However, these side effects typically subside within a few days, and most people are able to resume their normal activities immediately after the procedure.

While microneedling is generally considered safe, there are certain individuals who should avoid the procedure or consult with their healthcare provider before undergoing treatment.

Here are some examples:

  • People with active acne: Microneedling can cause further irritation and spread bacteria, which can worsen acne. It is best to wait until acne has cleared before undergoing microneedling.

  • People with eczema, psoriasis, or other inflammatory skin conditions: Microneedling can cause further inflammation and irritation to the skin. It is best to wait until the skin has healed before undergoing treatment.

  • People who are pregnant: The safety of microneedling during pregnancy has not been established, so it is generally recommended to avoid the procedure during pregnancy.

  • People with a history of keloid scars: Microneedling can increase the risk of developing keloid scars, especially in those who have a history of keloid scarring.

  • People with bleeding disorders or who are taking blood thinners: Microneedling involves making small punctures in the skin, which can cause bleeding. People with bleeding disorders or who are taking blood thinners may be at increased risk of bleeding and should consult with their healthcare provider before undergoing microneedling.

  • People who have recently had radiation therapy or chemotherapy: Microneedling can irritate and damage skin that has been treated with radiation therapy or chemotherapy. It is best to wait until the skin has fully healed before undergoing microneedling.

It's important to consult with us before undergoing any cosmetic procedure, including microneedling, to determine if it is safe and appropriate for you.

Hydrofacial
Screenshot 2023-04-10 at 18.35.38.png

A hydrofacial, also known as hydrodermabrasion, is a non-invasive skin treatment that uses a specialized device to cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate the skin.

During a hydrofacial treatment, a specialized device is used to deliver a stream of water and oxygen to the skin, along with serums that contain antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. The device also uses suction to remove impurities from the skin, such as dirt, oil, and dead skin cells.

The treatment is typically performed in several steps, including:

  • Cleansing: The skin is first cleansed to remove any makeup, oil, or dirt.

  • Exfoliation: The hydrofacial device uses a gentle abrasive tip to remove dead skin cells and smooth the skin's texture.

  • Extraction: The device uses suction to remove impurities from the pores, such as blackheads and whiteheads.

  • Infusion: A specialized serum is applied to the skin using the hydrofacial device, which is absorbed deeply into the skin for maximum effectiveness.

  • Hydration: The final step involves the application of a moisturizer to hydrate and protect the skin.

The entire process typically takes around 45 minutes and is painless and non-invasive.

Hydrofacials are suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin, and can be customized to address specific skin concerns, such as fine lines and wrinkles, acne, and hyperpigmentation.

Overall, hydrofacials are a safe and effective way to achieve healthier, more radiant-looking skin without any downtime or discomfort.

Chemical Peels
Facial Treatment

Chemical peels are a cosmetic treatment that involves the application of a chemical solution to the skin. The solution causes the top layers of skin to peel off, revealing smoother, more evenly toned skin below. Chemical peels can be used to treat a variety of skin conditions, including acne, fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, and hyperpigmentation.

Chemical peels can be categorized into three levels: superficial, medium, and deep. The level of peel used depends on the condition being treated and the severity of the skin damage. Superficial peels are the mildest and are used to treat minor skin imperfections such as fine lines, acne, and uneven skin tone. Medium peels are more aggressive and can treat more advanced skin conditions such as moderate wrinkles, sun damage, and age spots. Deep peels are the most aggressive and are used to treat severe skin damage, including deep wrinkles, scars, and precancerous growths.

The most common types of chemicals used in chemical peels are alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs), and trichloroacetic acid (TCA). AHAs are derived from fruit and milk and are the mildest type of peel. They work by gently exfoliating the skin and promoting cell turnover. BHAs are similar to AHAs but are oil-soluble, making them better suited for treating oily skin and acne. TCA is a stronger chemical that penetrates deeper into the skin, causing a more significant peel.

Before undergoing a chemical peel, the skin is thoroughly cleaned and prepped to ensure that the solution can penetrate the skin effectively. The solution is then applied to the skin using a brush or cotton swab. The solution is left on the skin for a specified amount of time, depending on the type of peel being used and the severity of the skin condition. Once the solution has been left on for the appropriate amount of time, it is neutralized and removed from the skin. After the peel, the skin may be red and sensitive for several days, and it is essential to protect it from the sun.

Chemical peels are a safe and effective way to improve the appearance of the skin. However, like any cosmetic treatment, they do carry some risks. It is essential to follow all pre- and post-treatment instructions carefully.

Facial 1 : Deep Cleanse & Exfoliation
Man Getting a Facial

This skincare treatment aims to thoroughly cleanse and remove impurities from the skin while also exfoliating the dead skin cells. We begin with cleansing the face to remove any surface dirt, oil, or makeup. Next, a steam treatment is applied to open up the pores and help loosen any debris.

After steaming, an exfoliating scrub or enzyme peel is applied to the skin to help remove the top layer of dead skin cells, which can help improve the skin's texture and appearance.

Once the exfoliation is complete, we perform extractions to remove any blackheads, whiteheads, or other impurities from the pores. This step can be uncomfortable for some people, but it can help improve the overall appearance of the skin.

After the extractions, a calming mask is applied to the skin to soothe and hydrate the skin. Depending on the specific facial, the mask is left on for a few minutes or longer to allow the skin to absorb the nutrients.

Finally, a moisturizer and sunscreen are applied to the skin to protect it from further damage and to help maintain the results of the facial. The entire process takes about an hour and leaves the skin feeling soft, smooth, and refreshed.

Facial 2 : Exfoliation & Massage
A man having message treatment

Our exfoliating and massage facial is a relaxing and rejuvenating treatment that involves using various massage techniques on the face, neck, and shoulders to improve circulation, reduce tension, and promote a healthy glow. It involves:

Preparation: Before starting the massage, we will cleanse your face and remove any makeup, dirt, or oil from your skin and apply a gentle exfoliant to help remove dead skin cells and improve the texture of your skin.

Application of oil or lotion to your face to help reduce friction and make it easier to massage your skin.

Massage Techniques: we use various massage techniques to massage your face, neck, and shoulders. Some of the most common techniques include:

Effleurage: This involves using long, sweeping strokes to help warm up the muscles and stimulate blood flow.

Petrissage: This involves using kneading and squeezing movements to help release tension in the muscles and improve circulation.

Tapotement: This involves using light tapping or percussion movements to help stimulate and invigorate the skin.

Friction: This involves using circular or back-and-forth movements to help break up adhesions and improve the texture of the skin.

Acupressure: we may also use acupressure techniques to help release tension and promote relaxation. This involves applying pressure to specific points on the face and neck that are believed to be connected to different organs and systems in the body.

Application of a Mask or Serum: After the massage, the therapist may apply a soothing mask or serum to your face to help hydrate and nourish your skin.

Completion: The treatment is completed with the application of moisturizer and other skincare products to help protect your skin from the elements.

Overall, a facial massage is a wonderful way to pamper your skin and promote relaxation.

Facial 3 : Manual lymphatic drainage facial massage
Facial

Manual lymphatic drainage facial massage is a type of massage technique that focuses on stimulating the lymphatic system in the face and neck to improve circulation, reduce swelling, and detoxify the skin.

This massage involves gentle, rhythmic strokes that mimic the natural flow of lymphatic fluid, which helps to remove waste and toxins from the body. We use light pressure to stimulate lymphatic vessels and lymph nodes in the face and neck to encourage the drainage of excess fluid and improve lymphatic flow.

The massage may also include gentle pressure on acupressure points to help promote relaxation and relieve tension in the face and neck. This technique is particularly beneficial for individuals with lymphedema, sinus congestion, or puffiness around the eyes or cheeks. It can also be helpful for improving the overall health and appearance of the skin, leaving it looking refreshed and rejuvenated.

Benefits: The main benefits of manual lymphatic drainage facial massage include:

  • Reducing puffiness and swelling in the face and neck

  • Improving circulation and oxygenation of the skin

  • Promoting lymphatic flow and drainage of toxins

  • Enhancing the immune system and reducing inflammation

  • Relieving sinus congestion and headaches

  • Reducing stress and promoting relaxation

Technique: The massage is typically performed with the client lying down on a massage table or sitting in a comfortable chair. The therapist uses gentle, rhythmic strokes with their hands or fingers to stimulate the lymphatic system in the face and neck. The strokes are very light and should not cause any discomfort. The therapist may also use a light oil or cream to help the hands glide smoothly over the skin.

Duration: A typical session lasts 60 minutes and includes a light cleanse and exfoliation of the skin and end with a soothing mask. Depending on the individual's needs and goals, multiple sessions may be recommended for optimal results.

Contraindications: Manual lymphatic drainage facial massage is generally considered safe and non-invasive, but there are some situations where it may not be recommended. These include:

  • Active infections or skin conditions in the face or neck

Facial 4 : The Ultimate Gua Sha facial
Relaxing Facial

Facial Gua Sha massage is a technique that has been used in Chinese medicine for centuries. It involves the use of a smooth-edged tool made of jade, rose quartz, or another smooth stone. The tool is typically held at a 45-degree angle and used to scrape the skin on the face in a gentle, upward motion. The pressure is light and firm, but not too intense.\

The aim of Facial Gua Sha massage is to increase circulation, stimulate the lymphatic system, and promote healing. This technique helps to release tension in the muscles, reduce puffiness and dark circles, and improve the overall tone and texture of the skin.
